"20/20" - An exhibition celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child
What happens when you give 500 children from around the world a black piece of paper and a white pencil and ask them to draw a self-portrait? The result is an exhibition of drawings and photographs that show regardless of race, colour, gender, language or ethnicity, every child is equal. UNICEF Australia is hosting the “20/20” exhibition as part of a range of activities to mark the 20th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Taking place from Friday 19 November 2009 along the foreshore at Darling Harbour, “20/20” shows the drawings and photographs of children from 32 countries in five continents around the world, including children from Sydney’s La Perouse Public School.
"20/20" is being shown simultaneously in France, Canada, Columbia, Kenya, Sri Lanka and Sydney.
